Many of the JP boards come with a colour-coded deck, a guideline where the rider should position the feet.

With these colour areas, the instructor can point out where the beginners should place their feet and in which area they should move in order to maintain stability and to achieve efficiency. Consequently, it is easier for the instructors to check and correct. And the beginner himself, too, is able to monitor his stance and re-position if necessary.

There is a version of pads for beginners – maroon or maroon-lilac (Magic Ride Family, Young Gun Magic Ride, Funster, Funster Sport, Magic Air and FunstAIR Sport) and they all (except the inflatables) come with a second coloured area for freeride, too – blue or orange or dark grey.
