Growing up with his father being a professional windsurfer, it was an obvious opportunity for Sebastian to try the sport. Already from the age of 4 years, Sebastian’s father brought him on the board. At the age of 9 Sebastian started windsurfing on his own. In the early years, he was committed to a different sport, motocross, but as he got older the desire for windsurfing increased and finally at the age of 12 he decided to quit Motocross with 2 successful national titles.
From then on fully focused on enjoying windsurfing while competition became part of the fun. Finally he completed following his dads footsteps as he made his debut in the PWA at age of 17.
“Windsurfing has been and still is a big part of my life. I also have a desire to pass it on to the next generation just like my dad did for me. However, I am definitely not done competing yet. I like to show people that you can be fast with good equipment without being big and heavy.”
