Defi wind & defi wing 2025 - Racing action in Gruissan, france!

The 2025 edition of Defi Wing was blessed with strong winds and an incredible turnout of 600 avid wingers, eclipsing last year’s record of 400 participants.

7 rounds of competition were held over the 3 day competition period and a fantastic time was had by all.

We were happy to catch up with Ricardo and Kylie who put on great performances and thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

 

Our windsurf team turned out in full force and were chomping at the bit to get racing after watching the fun that the wingers had, and tuning up their gear to deal with the Tramontana winds.

Sadly, in a repeat performance of the 2024 Defi Wind, the wind once again did not cooperate for the windsurfers to do battle and only a fun race was able to be held.

Despite the lack of wind, a great time was had by all and we very much enjoyed the opportunity to meet so many of our wonderful customers and show off our latest collection at our booth, plus of course our customary NeilPryde / JP aperitif evenings were a special treat!

Thank you as always to the incredible team behind the Defi Wind and Wing. This is definitely the world’s largest and most renowned gathering of windsurf and wing enthusiasts with 2,000 competitors between the 2 disciplines. It is quite amazing to see so many like-minded people in one place and those rabbit starts with several hundred people on the line are something very special indeed!

We hope to see you all again for the 2026 edition of this event and until then, stay tuned for more action from our team as the summer PWA events kick off!!
