Anton richter wins junior devision of the PWA wave event in chile!

The 2025 Chile PWA/IWT World Cup wrapped up with an exciting Finals Day at Topocalma. Perfect waves, offshore winds, and close battles made for an unforgettable event. One of the standout performances came from Anton Richter, who claimed victory in the Pro Junior category.

A Strong Performance in the Pro Junior Division

Neilpryde and JP-Australia team rider Anton Richter put on an impressive display, securing the top spot in the Pro Junior division. The young German talent scored 12.50 points, just ahead of Guadeloupe’s Kymani Laurent (12.07), in a final filled with powerful and stylish wave riding.

Battling Through to the Final

It was a dream come true for Anton, who was competing in Chile for the first time. The competition day at Topocalma provided ideal conditions, with great waves and steady wind, creating the perfect stage for high-level windsurfing. However, his path to victory was anything but easy. “After a tough start in the first round, I had to battle my way through the redemption round before making it to the final,” he explained. Once there, he delivered his best performance of the event, scoring two excellent waves that secured him the win.

Looking back on the experience, Anton described it as an incredible moment in his career. Winning his first Wave World Cup in the U21 division was a major milestone, and he expressed how much he enjoyed competing at such a special location.
