In 2024 Luderitz was the place to be for all speed specialists. The past few years delivered awesome conditions but not quite good enough to break records. This year also started quite mellow but winds got stronger and stronger the longer the Luderitz Speed Challenge lasted. On top of that, Antoine had to settle accounts with the speed spot that threw him off and injured him last year.
Wednesday 27.November alarm bells sounded for the first time: Antoine scored a new GPS world record of 53.38 knots ! This news spread like wildfire. But after video analyse, this reading had to be corrected to 52.98 knots or 98,12 km/h –>
World Record:
the fastest speed ever recorded on a production board: the JP SPEED 40.

* Women’s Word Speed Record by K-96 = 48.58 knots
* German record G-2 = 52.62 knots
