Blackfoot Beach at lake Fühlinger near Cologne hosted the German Flatwater SUP Championships 2015.
Saturday evening the 7.5 kilometer long distance SUP race was held for the 12’6” class which -at the same time- counted as qualifier for the World Championships in 2016.
With a strong sprint at the beginning Peter Weidert took the lead. After the first round he did not paddle at his maximum to safe energy as there were still more races to come on Sunday. In the second half Peter accelerated again, regained the lead and took the title.

The sprint events were held on Sunday and Peter Weidert was able to win all elimination rounds in both, the 12’6” and 14’ classes. In the finals he was able to finish second and thus to take both Vice-Champion titles in the sprint discipline! A very positive result at this year’s German Championships for Peter!

1st: German Long Distance SUP Champion 2015 – 12’6″

2nd: German Sprint SUP Vice-Champion 2015 – 14′

Congratulations, Peter, from your JP team mates!
