PRO EDITION in S-Glass Technology with Stringers and Carbon Rails
The boards additionally come with 2 Mini Tuttle plugs to cover the side-fin boxes when used as Twinsers.

RADICAL TURNS FOR ANYBODY

There is no question that Twinsers and Quads have significant advantages in side shore conditions. All well-known riders have switched to this set-up mainly because of the unbelievable turning of these boards. Kauli, who initiated the Twinser and Quad concept made these boards popular with his own unique style. He has put a lot of effort into the development of the JP range wanting a line of Quads that he can use around the world in all different conditions, not just in pure down-the-line conditions.
This range shines in areas where Quads previously did not feel so much at home: Early planing, great speed and upwind performance.

SHAPE

During the development process we tried all different kinds of bottom concepts. The concept that Kauli and Jason liked the most combines double concaves in the mid section running into a flat V towards the tail. This feature allows for a rather flat bottom curve making it easy to get going, accelerate and reach high speed.

The V increasing towards the tail gives the board a very curvy rail line. Something everyone is looking for when sailing in down-the-line conditions.

A thin rail shape throughout the board in combination with a soft tuck line makes the boards slice through the wave face providing the grip and forgiveness everybody is looking for. Adjusting the radius at any time and lining up for big aerials and other moves becomes natural.

The additional volume in the back creates more buoyancy behind the mast base and around the footstrap area. This makes the board more stable when not planing and easier to push the board onto the plane. Having additional volume in the rear also allows the footstraps to be slightly further back. This again helps to cut radical short turns into small waves.

SUMMARY

Twinser or Quad – it’s your call. As Quads they have more bite and control. As Twinsers the boards are slightly more loose (we recommend 2cm longer fins in similar conditions). The Twinser Quad line stands out with a huge range of use and radical performance in all wave conditions.
They turn so easily and so radically that they will make you be able to do turns in ways you never thought would be possible.

STORAGE Store your board in mild (neither hot, nor cold; not exposed to sunlight), dry places ! Winter storage: non-freezing (constantly above +5°C). Note: Avoid storage in closed, damp conditions like in a wet boardbag! So, after windsurfing and safe transport put the board out of its bag and let both dry separately - otherwise your board will suffer from osmosis and blisters (bubbles) will show up on the boards surface. And your bag might start to smell.   NOSE PROTECTOR Damages caused by impacts are not covered under JP-Australia's limited warranty. Therefore, JP-Australia highly recommends the use of a nose protector. Especially recommended for novices and everybody, who wants to protect the board nose. The universal protector: Made of EVA, the UNI NOSE PROTECTOR is a very light yet strong protection. It is easy to handle as it is simply glued onto the nose. The set consists of 5 pieces: 2 side parts (one left and one right), and 3 connections in sizes Small, Medium and Large. By combining the two sides with the appropriate connection at the front, noses of almost all standard board sizes and shapes can be covered efficiently. This makes it an universal protector not only for JP boards but for most boards available on the market. Please note: The uni nose protector is not made for the use on demo boards or in windsurfing centers, but for private use only! DOWNLOAD: NoseProtector_Uni_Manual.pdf LIMITED FINISH - LESS IS MORE Since 2004 the first JP PRO Edition boards have a (SUPER) LIMITED FINISH. By reducing the amount of paint (sanding off) the weight is decreased. Consequently, the boards have a custom look with certain "imperfections" in the paint, thus the material below might shine through. Sometimes they even look as if repaired. This is also true for the Full Wood Sandwich boards as they now feature a LIMITED FINISH, too. You won't find two boards exactly the same. We believe this is worth it as the weight reduction is substantial and there's no loss of durability or strength.   AIR VALVE airvalveWe highly recommend to open the air valve screw when the board is not used. Reason: Due to high pressure differences the sandwich construction suffers from high stress and can delaminate long term from the board's core. This will result in a soft spot and start absorbing water. Pressure differences are caused by high temperature variations or other pressure variations from e.g. aero planes. Do not forget to close the air vent before going on the water!
