IFCA SLALOM EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS – 2014 BOL, CROATIA
Last week the European Slalom Championships were held in Bol on the beautiful Croatian coast.
After a few days of calms, the wind returned to the “Golden Horn” and the competitions were held in ideal racing conditions.
Enrico Mariotti CRO-401 cancelled his participation the PWA Slalom event in Turkey in favor of this Championship in his home country.
And it paid off!
He won the event to become European Slalom Champion on his JP boards – CONGRATULATIONS!
Now Enrico is at the Formula Championships where internet access is limited – but his report will follow soon….
But there is more positive news:
Years ago we supported the talented slalom sailor Johan Broucke. Now, his son Thomas Broucke BEL-39 is the runner up in the Belgian slalom scene and at the IFCA European Slalom Championship Thomas Broucke was the fastest slalom sailor U-15! More than that, Thomas came 3rd in the Junior U-17 class – which can be considered an even more important prove for his talent!
CONGRATULATIONS also to Thomas!
IFCA EUROPEAN SLALOM CHAMPIONSHIPS rankings:
#01 – Enrico Marotti CRO-401
