GO FOR THE TITLE

Two years ago JP introduced the Slalom VI generation following the 3 for 1 Slalom concept. With these boards Antoine Albeau FRA-192 dominated last year’s PWA Slalom more than ever and won the title in a spectacular way. Micah Buzianis finished fourth. Together Antoine and Micah secured the first place in the PWA Slalom constructors ranking for JP.
2011 was a different year. It saw Antoine being very unlucky in several races. After dominating the Slalom discipline for many years he now has to settle for second.
This made him, Werner and the rest of the JP Slalom team work even harder on Generation VIII which again follows the 3 for 1 concept. They are all convinced that with these boards we will win the title back.

3 boards for the heavier and 3 for the lighter rider

With the new generation we again followed that idea but went a step further and separated the 2 lines and concepts even more.

The sizes 59, 68 and 84

are still designed for Antoine and the bigger, more powerful racers. No compromise, straight forward racing machines. They work ideal in racing formats like they use in the World Cup – mostly downwind and not very long legs. Maximum acceleration, reaching top speed instantly, staying on the plane through the jibe and taking all the speed with you, not getting stuck if you are surrounded by other competitors and leaving the pack first – that were the priorities for these boards. With these boards you need to be active and strong but you will be rewarded with incredible, almost unbeatable performance.

The sizes 56, 66 and 78

are quite different.  We developed this line to suit the lighter or slightly less powerful riders and also sailors who want to use their Slalom board for the more and more popular long distance events. These boards are slightly longer but quite a bit thinner throughout, especially in the rail.  This makes the board less powerful and much easier to ride. Keeping up top speed is more relaxed and requires less physical strength.  With their extra length they are easier to jibe and more forgiving. These boards are less challenging and demanding than the other line but they are also full-on racing machines – made to win. Both lines are equipped with a new tail shape. This wider tail delivers better low end performance and acceleration and additionally provides a more parallel, comfortable and powerful stance in combination with the refined race deck. The 78 and 84 have a flat panel V throughout the hull for maximum lift and performance. The 66 and 68 have additional concaves in the mid section of the board to support a more comfortable and stable ride, while the 56 and 59 are equipped with double concaves running into a flat V at the tail. All sizes have individually tuned tail Cut-Outs, they all vary in size and position to tune up each board with its perfect rail length and release for maximum control and speed.

Footstrap

Straps incl. 2 screws.
Rounded plastic belts, pre-formed, comfortable shape. Adjustable plastic plates for width adjustment.

SPECIAL FOOTSTRAPS PRE-SHAPED

Ideal arch shape to perfectly fit your feet. Thick neoprene cover for great comfort.

ADJUSTABLE WIDTH

Adjustable in width not just in length as all other straps on the market. By simply turning the plastic plate by 180 degrees, the width of the footstraps can be switched from 14,2cm to 13,0cm. Great for slalom sailors who need a tight connection to the board and for youngsters or women with smaller feet.

Adjust your Foot Strap SIZE for very large foot strap sizes, change the Anti Twist plate for the outside position (recommended for foot size 44 and up)

  • remove the screw
  • remove the Anti Twist plate
  • insert the Anti Twist plate into the holes of the profile belt
  • put hte top plastic part back on the pins
  • insert the screw
  • adjust the size of the foot strap to fit your foot

5 Steps for a NARROW Foot Strap:

  • remove the screw
  • pull off the top plastic part
  • rotate the top plastic part 180°
  • put it back on the pins
  • insert screw and mount the strap

3D Footstrap

incl. 2 screws. Comfortable padding, changeable to asymmetrical shape when the strap is not centered – very comfortable!

set-up

symmetrical – for rear center strap
asymmetrical – for front straps and rear straps on the rail

Super Sport, Super Lightwind, Formula, Slalom

Less wetted area and volume in the tail for increased control, better top speed,
and easier jibing.

black outline: conventional shape | red area: new race deck shape | blue outline: old race deck shape

The raised area underneath your forefoot and toes provides unknown comfort and control when going at full speed. You easily stay connected to the board no matter how strong the wind gets. You never feel like you are getting pulled out of your straps – no need to bend up your toes to stay in the straps.

NOSE PROTECTOR

Damages caused by impacts are not covered under JP-Australia’s limited warranty. Therefore, JP-Australia highly recommends the use of a nose protector. Especially recommended for novices and everybody, who wants to protect the board nose.

The universal protector: made of EVA, the UNI NOSE PROTECTOR is a very light yet strong protection. It is easy to handle as it is simply glued onto the nose.

The set consists of 5 pieces: 2 side parts (one left and one right), and 3 connections in sizes
Small, Medium and Large.

By combining the two sides with the appropriate connection at the front, noses of almost all standard board sizes and shapes can be covered efficiently. This makes it an universal protector not only for JP boards but for most boards available on the market.

Please note: The uni nose protector is not made for the use on demo boards or in windsurfing centers, but for private use only!

LIMITED FINISH – LESS IS MORE

Since 2004 the first JP PRO Edition boards have a (SUPER) LIMITED FINISH. By reducing the amount of paint (sanding off) the weight is decreased. Consequently, the boards have a custom look with certain “imperfections” in the paint, thus the material below might shine through. Sometimes they even look as if repaired. This is also true for the Full Wood Sandwich boards as they now feature a LIMITED FINISH, too. You won’t find two boards exactly the same. We believe this is worth it as the weight reduction is substantial and there’s no loss of durability or strength.

AIR VALVE

We highly recommend to open the air valve screw when the board is not used. Reason: Due to high pressure differences the sandwich construction suffers from high stress and can delaminate long term from the board’s core. This will result in a soft spot and start absorbing water. Pressure differences are caused by high temperature variations or other pressure variations from e.g. aero planes. Do not forget to close the air vent before going on the water!

STORAGE

Store your board in mild (neither hot, nor cold) dry places ! Winter storage: non-freezing (constantly above +5°C). Note: avoid storage in closed, damp conditions like in a wet boardbag! So, after windsurfing and safe transport put the board out of its bag and let both dry separately – otherwise your board will suffer from osmosis and blisters (bubbles) will show up on the boards surface. And your bag might start to smell.
